How about a visit to Ursula Thompson's Sweet Point Bakery & Cafe during the Holidays? Ursula is from Peru which explains the savory influence in her products. She completed a Culinary Arts Degree and interned at a Ritz Carlton. She and her husband have 7 children including a fireman, a Marine, a GGC student, 2 Parkview HS students, a Trickum MS student and a Mountain Park ES student. Her shop next to the former Colossus Restaurant on Five Forks-Trickum Rd is open M-F 8 am - 7 pm and Saturdays 9 am - 6 pm. The coffee is great and they have food selections in addition to treats. The custom cakes are a work of art.
Many thanks to Delmar Gardens in Lawrenceville for hosting and sponsoring our November After-Hours event, Cruise Into The Holidays. This is a family-owned business that focuses on the needs of senior living. The Lawrenceville location incudes independent living apartments, assisted-living and skilled nursing care. The campus has a large wooded setting. The campus buildings feature large open multi-purpose spaces where in addition to resident activities, events such as an annual After-Hours by the Gwinnett Chamber are hosted.
Check out our new membership options of yearly, bi-annual, quarterly and senior.
